Indianola High School (IHS) would like to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. We are excited about the “Proud Traditions & Unlimited Possibilities” we have to offer. Throughout the year students will be exposed to challenging curriculum designed to fit individual needs and interests preparing them for college and career readiness and the 21st Century.
Students have access to their own personal ChromeBook through our Digital Learning Environment (DLE). Our staff and students continue to explore new possibilities by working, studying, creating, collaborating, and thinking beyond classroom walls through the DLE.
IHS students are heavily involved in many extra and co-curricular activities. We are a proud member of the Little Hawkeye Conference competing in 15 athletic programs. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in any one of 34 activities or clubs.
IHS is excited about starting the construction of our NEW academic wing onto the high school. We have spent a year planning and preparing for the addition of a new academic wing and a new competition gym. The new construction began May of 2024. We are excited about the upgrades to our academic and competition spaces. More updates on completion will be provided as the construction process gets underway and timelines have been established.
Sincerely,
Jeff Siebersma

“IHS gave me the foundation I needed and I have so many fond memories at IHS that I had to come back and be a part of the staff to hopefully share and give that positive experience to other young people at IHS"
“Indianola High School prepared me with great knowledge and leadership to bring success to my future in education.”
“The community and school work together to allow students to build relationships and create connections through different activities. These experiences have guided me towards my future plans as I continue to study at Simpson College.”
"I received a high-quality education in Indianola; an education filled with the most impressive staff, faculty, and administrators. From my earliest recollections, I was reminded that I could go anywhere, do anything, and be someone who mattered in the world."
Great job to our Girls Cross Country team placing 12th in the State Meet! Congratulations to our 2023 Volleyball team on their Runner Up finish in class 4A! What an awesome accomplishment! Learn More about our athletics programs
