Economics:
Monday: Students will begin looking at the issue of scarcity, shortages and the challenges of these thoughts in relationship to the world we live in as well as individual items impacting their lives.
Tuesday: Students will examine the factors of production and their connection to life. A short assignment will also be given.
Wednesday: Students will examine the opportunity cost of obtaining a college degree vs. working as they begin to make some choices about the direction they are considering for their futures.
Thursday: Students will examine the use of resources vs. idle resources and how production possibilities will drive business and governemental decisions through an exercise done in class.
Friday: Quiz and a video followed by a reading task for Monday.
U.S. History:
Monday: Students will be looking at issue of prohibition of the 1920's and starting a video.
Tuesday: Students will be looking at the life styles of women and how American's lived in the 20's and continue a video.
Wednesday: Students will have a chance to identify individual hero's of the 20's and how they became icons.
Thursday: Students will examine some of the struggling sectors of America in the 1920's as well as some successes of the various ethnic groups in America.
Friday: Students will have a quiz over the week's information as well as obtain a review packet that will be due the following Tuesday with a test on the 1920's planned for Wednesday, January 18th.
